      Non-Profit Development & Grant Writing Summit

      We are so excited to invite you to one of the most powerful and dynamic workshops that you will ever attend! This workshop is geared towards the adult learning and will really capture your attention.  The facilitator is high impact and has more than 16 years of experience helping to build non-profits efficiently, how to get them primed and ready for grants and even how to write them.  Guess what?  You will be learning those same tools and will even begin writing a grant SAME DAY! Isn't that awesome?     Course Objectives for Combo Non-Profit Development and Grant Writing Training Each participant will learn: What a non-profit is and how to create an effective one; The difference between a for profit and a non-profit; To identify the requirements of non-profit paperwork and how/when to submit accordingly; The premise of effective strategic planning; Quality leadership teams; The roles and responsibilities of leaders, the board of directors, participants, staff, volunteers, and grant writing teams; To develop quality programs; Foundations of starting a non-profit; What paperwork to fill out; Building networks and collaboratives; Successful qualities of a grant writing team and proposal manager; The 501(c)3 benefit overview; Appropriate fundraising and financial management; Preparation for the grant process; How to identify different types of funding, grants, and philanthropic giving; To identify the different parts of a grant; To effectively apply for funding and submit quality proposals; How to find the funding, funders, grants, and givers; To speak the funders language; Take control of your fear of grant writing; and To discover the support throughout this process, just for you! You will get a manual, complimentary copied tax forms, a list of over 800 funders, and so many things to help your non-profit develop and grow, your leadership to be strengthened and encouraged, and even grant samples to use when you are writing them.                     Now, to prepare for this amazing experience - -      Read the following carefully!           Get prepared!                 Come with an open mind!                      Come with expectation!                          In addition, bring the following…                         1.)  Bring plenty of business / contact cards  If you don't have any, take the time to make some quality ones from home or have your contact information already printed out, even if you don't have a name of your potential organization yet.  You will need them for our networking exercises.  We do an exercise with these, so please bring them with you already printed out. 2.)  Bring your (already charged) laptop with Microsoft Word and Excel to be able to start writing a grant and preparing budgets.  There is limited access to outlets, so please come with laptop already charged.  We will be using Microsoft Word to develop grants on training day.  You will be surprised how your group works together to make this happen.  You will only need the laptop during the afternoon session.  3.)  Bring a USB flash drive/jump drive  as you will be exchanging information in your group grant from team member to team member. 4.)  Bring a handheld calculator or device that has one     5.)  Bring a sweater or jacket as meeting rooms often feel chilly. 6.)  Come with expectancy of great things and an open mind!  This really helps when you are learning new things.  Tell your friends and circle of influence about this workshop, as there is still plenty of space available.  It is a great opportunity to bring several people and consider becoming a grant writing team for your organization.   Disclaimer:  This training is being offered for those who are looking to either build their own non-profits or help an existing non-profit that they are affiliated with.  This training is not for those looking to become “consultants for hire.”  There is a lot more needed than just this class to become a “consultant for hire.” This material and training sessions are copy written and the author has strict rules about making copies of the materials, presentation material, or any part of the workshops.  You may not copy, record (whether via audio or video) any mart of the materials or training.
